Filmed in his Limassol studio and the house of Kepedes in Cyprus, the film documents Valentinos Charalambous' journey through his personal biography and artistic career as a ceramist, interwoven with major events of contemporary history. From the concerns of his forced exile from his family house in Famagusta- after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus - to the rich dynamics of modern Iraqi culture, and his later exile from Baghdad, his beloved city, and from people with whom he worked for 30 years, because of the lraq-lran war. This film is an original way of exploring, with a major master, the modern and contemporary developments of ceramics, an art form still too often confined to the 'borders' of modernity.
